Did you know that wheat usually gets sprayed with nasty chemicals just before it’s picked?
When they looked at people who had wheat intolerances, which has risen a lot in the past 20 years, they actually found that most people were actually intolerant to the chemicals that were sprayed on the wheat instead.
The intensive agricultural practices and heavy use of glyphosate in the wheat industry could just be to blame for your intolerance to wheat.
Don’t get me wrong, some people are intolerant to wheat and some are celiac but maybe try switching the wheat in your diet to organic and see what happens?
A lot of people are under the assumption that wheat is bad for you, which I’ve never quite understood, as if eaten correctly, such as whole meals and whole grains, it’s such a great prebiotic starch that is good for your good gut bacteria.
I’ve also noticed that people will opt for something gluten free because they think it’s healthier when I know that it isn’t. Gluten free is literally for people with celiac disease or an actual gluten intolerance.
So chose organic wheat wherever you can, eat wholemeal, whole grains and sourdough as well. These are all better options.
